Successful Salzburg Workshop

2023 ECREA CLP workshop organised with the EuromediApp Network and hosted by the University of Salzburg

Thanks to our amazing hosts and local organisers at the Department of Communication Studies at the University of Salzburg, the CLP section workshop was a huge success and a truly enjoyable event. We heard 24 excellent presentations and there were several common areas of interest that sparked much discussion – prominence of public interest content, various aspects of the EU’s Digital Service Act, and others. There were unique first glimpses at initial findings and work in progress of truly cutting edge research, and lots of ideas for future collaboration. Also, for the first time we had substantive integrated involvement from the high quality local masters students – something we want to take forward in future workshops.

We also had some great music provided by students from the music academy (there may have been some dancing) and rejuvenating social time. Also at the event it was decided that the section should aim to move more towards using LinkedIn and wind down the Twitter/X account.
